Greeting Card Printing

Greeting cards are an effective way for self publishing Artists, Photographers, Illustrators and graphic designers to promote and sell their artwork.

We are a dedicated fine art printers with a majority of our customers being artists or photographers. We cater exclusively for this sector and carefully chosen our materials to deliver the best results.

Our greetings cards are digitally printed allowing you to order quantities as low as 10 cards of 1 design.

We allow you to split your total run length over multiple designs, enabling you to take advantage of the quantity discounts, provided the cards are printed the same size and paper stock**

We also invite art clubs / groups to order together to take advantage of the quantity discounts.

Greeting Card Boards

 

All of our greetings cards are printed on high quality art card boards hand picked for the best printed results.

Ultra White 300gsm

This stiff card provides excellent colour and image quality with a soft satin finish. The single side coated board enables easy writing on the inside.

Ultra White offers the widest gamut of all of our greeting card boards and is suited for all works, especially photographic.

The card is FSC® Certified, pH neutral, Long life certified, Chlorine and heavy metal free.

Bright 350gsm

A smooth, bright white stiff matte stock, ideally suited for artists & illustrators looking for a Matte finish whilst offering deep blacks & crisp whites.

The card is FSC® Certified.

Matte Recycled 350gsm

The recycled 350gsm is an uncoated, silky smooth stock made using 100% recycled post consumer waste which can lead to varied speckling in the finished sheet adding character to your cards.

Due to the recycled nature of the paper, this media is suitable for Illustrations, Watercolours, Pastels, Oils, Acrylics and artwork with lighter coverage.

The card is FSC® Certified.

Textured 280gsm

This textured card stock is bright white. Ideal for water colours, illustrations and other images with lighter coverage. For images with darker colours or areas with solid colour we suggest printing on a different card stock such as the Bright 350gsm or Ultra White 300gsm.

The card is FSC® Certified, pH neutral, Long life certified, Chlorine and heavy metal free.

Vellum 320gsm

Vellum is a high quality uncoated recycled card stock which has a soft white tone with a light texture on the printed side. This partially recycled board is made from 40% post consumer paper, 55% pure environmentally friendly FSC fiber and 5% cotton to add a beautiful luxurious feel to your cards.

The card is FSC® Certified, pH neutral, Long life certified, Chlorine and heavy metal free.

 

Pricing

Our greetings card are printed on the front either to the edge or with a border. On the reverse of the card you can include a thumbnail of your artwork along with the image details and your contact information.

All of our cards are supplied pre-creased laid flat and are supplied complete with high quality envelopes (either White or a Recycled Brown Kraft fleck) and OPP card wraps for all sizes.

Multi Design Discount

There is a minimum order of 10 cards per design and you may split the total print run across multiple designs of the same stock and size, allowing you to take advantage of the quantity discount and offer a large range of card designs.

Textured card stock costs an extra 3.6p per card inc VAT regardless of quantity.
Vellum card stock costs an extra 9.6p per card inc VAT regardless of quantity.

Card Design Setup

If you provide us with a digital file then we can provide you with a layout and storage service of £6.00 per image. This service can take up to 14 working days for digital proofs + print time, at busy times of the year.

Alternatively if you provide us with the print ready files using our greetings card templates available for download in the Greetings Card Templates tab below there is no setup charge. The files are Photoshop PSD files for ease of opening.

Please ensure all artwork is supplied at 300dpi and as a PDF file format.

For those who have Photoshop CC or Affinity Photo we have put together a selection of greetings card templates to aid you in the design and layout of your greetings cards. If you prefer to use Illustrator or InDesign these formats are available upon request.

Once you are happy with your designs, please ensure that the artwork is supplied to the following specifications.

How to Order

Whether you have created your own card design or if you would like us to setup your cards ready for printing you can send your artwork through sixprint.wetransfer.com.

Before sending please check that you have included the following information in the message box on Wetransfer.
  • Contact Name
  • Order Billing and Postal address
  • Contact mobile & landline telephone number
  • Card stock and envelope choice; (either White or a Recycled Brown Kraft fleck).
  • Card size and quantity of each design.
  • If we are providing the setup service (£6 inc VAT per design) please send through any information you would like included on the reverse of the card and if you would like us to include a border. The setup service turnaround 14 working days for digital proofs. This is additional to our working print and dispatch turnaround.

The Order Process

Once you have sent through your order via wetransfer. The files will be downloaded and checked that they have been setup correctly and are of a high enough resolution. Following this either further instruction will be provided or an invoice will be sent through via email.

Payment can be made either by bank transfer or through the Sagepay payment gateway.

Once payment has been made, turn around for greetings cards is typically 7 working days with all orders being sent out via next working day courier (+ 2 for Highlands & Islands).

** Quantity discounts are on the proviso that cards are printed to the same size and card stock. Discounts are subject to change.
